Theme Park Insider says Six Flags Fiesta Texas broke ground today on Werewolf Gorge. I have not seen a Six Flags press release yet.
The park page already has the ride listed as the longest family launch coaster in the world (that is their line). 4,120 feet, 45 mph, four LIM launches through a deserted silver mine, 32 air time moments, about 2 minutes 36 seconds. First launch is 6 to 43 mph in 3 seconds, and one of them swings you forward, backward, then forward again. Three 16-passenger trains. Vekoma put their name on it back in June. It will also be the longest roller coaster they have ever built at that park.
Holiday World's Cannonball is the one with a park quote I can actually lock. Dubois County Free Press has it this morning: first pieces of track are in, and they are the station, so the building can go vertical. Most of the track shows up in October. Matt Eckert (president and CEO) said they like to work ahead of schedule. The Holiday World page says more than 1,000 feet of twisting track, 45 mph, a 90 foot climb, and a 75 foot drop. TPI had 1,700 feet and Mack. I am not locking those.
